Delete your ParthSarathi account

This page explains how to ask us to delete your ParthSarathi account, exactly what gets deleted, and the few things we have to keep. It applies to the ParthSarathi mobile app and to parthsarathi.com — they are one account.

Last updated: 6 August 2026

How to request deletion

You can delete your account yourself, in the app or on the web. You do not need to contact us, and nothing is held for review.

In the app

  1. Open the ParthSarathi app and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Go to Profile, then Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Read the summary and confirm. There is no separate approval step and nothing to wait for — the deletion runs immediately.

On the web

  1. Go to parthsarathi.com and sign in.
  2. Open your Profile, then Edit profile.
  3. Under Account actions, choose Delete account.
  4. Read the summary and confirm. The deletion runs immediately.

If you cannot sign in

Email support@parthsarathi.com from the address you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm it is you, delete the account, and write back when it is done — within 30 days, and usually much sooner. You do not need the app installed to do this.

What is deleted

Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore the account afterwards, so please export anything you want to keep first — Settings, then Export — before you delete. The following are removed:

  • Your account and sign-in identity — email address, password, and any Google or Apple sign-in link.
  • Your profile — name, city, phone number, date of birth, gender, and the time and place of birth, if you entered them.
  • Your profile photo.
  • Every conversation you have had with ParthSarathi, including the questions you asked and the guidance you received.
  • Your journal entries and reflections.
  • Your persona — the AI-generated summary of your recurring themes, values and guidance preferences.
  • Your bookmarks, verse likes, reading and practice progress, streaks and journey progress.
  • Your notification preferences and registered devices, so notifications stop immediately.
  • Your usage records and onboarding preferences.

Once this is done you can no longer sign in, and the email address is free to be used for a new account if you ever want one. A new account starts empty; nothing carries over.

What is kept, and for how long

A small amount of information survives deletion, either because the law requires us to keep it or because it is no longer connected to you. None of it includes anything you wrote — no questions, no conversations, no journal entries, no reflections. If you paid us at any point, please read the first item carefully: tax law requires those records to keep your name and contact details, so they are the one place where personal information remains.

Invoices and payment records

Kept in full for 8 years, because Indian tax and GST law requires a business to retain complete records of the transactions it has made. A tax invoice has to name the person it was issued to, so these records keep the name, email address and phone number you had when the payment was made, along with the plan, the amount, the date and the tax detail. They are no longer linked to a usable account, they are not used for anything except accounting and legal obligations, and no one is contacted through them.

Product analytics events

Anonymous records of the kind “a verse was opened”, with the account identifier removed so the event can no longer be traced back to you. These never contained the text of anything you wrote.

Database backups

Your data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after deletion, until those backups are overwritten on their normal cycle. Backups are only ever used to restore the service after a failure, never to look anything up.

Records we are ordered to keep

If we have a specific legal obligation to preserve particular information — a court order, or a live investigation — we keep only what that obligation covers, and only for as long as it applies. This is rare.

If you have a paid subscription

Deleting your ParthSarathi account does not cancel a subscription bought through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Those are billed by the store, not by us, and only the store can stop them. Cancel the subscription first — in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, or in iOS Settings under your name, then Subscriptions — and then delete your account. Deleting the account does not entitle you to a refund for time already paid for; refunds are handled by the store under its own policy.

Only want to delete your content?

You do not have to close your account to remove what you have written. Conversations, journal entries and the memory the app keeps of you can each be deleted on their own, and your account carries on as normal.
